Accessibility Statement

Everything Tahoe is committed to making Lake Tahoe travel information usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

Last updated: August 31, 2026

Everything Tahoe wants visitors to be able to explore our guides, maps, reviews and travel resources regardless of ability or the technology they use. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome feedback when something gets in the way.

1. Our commitment

Everything Tahoe is committed to providing a welcoming and usable online experience for people with disabilities. This includes visitors who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice recognition, text magnification, captions or other assistive technologies.

We aim to consider accessibility as we create, update and maintain content on EverythingTahoe.com. Because websites, third-party tools and accessibility practices continue to change, we treat accessibility as an ongoing process rather than a one-time project.

2. Our accessibility goal

Our goal is to work toward substantial conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines provide a widely recognized framework for making web content more perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

This statement describes our current intentions and practices. It is not a certification that every page or feature has been independently audited or fully conforms to every WCAG success criterion.

3. Measures we take

As part of our accessibility efforts, we seek to:

Clear structure

Use meaningful headings, descriptive links and consistent page organization.

Keyboard access

Support navigation and controls without requiring a mouse, with visible focus indicators.

Readable presentation

Use legible type, sufficient color contrast and layouts that respond to zoom and smaller screens.

Media alternatives

Add useful alternative text to meaningful images and provide captions or transcripts when practical.

Usable forms

Use labels, instructions and understandable error messages for forms and interactive controls.

Testing and maintenance

Review important templates and features with automated checks and manual keyboard testing, then address issues we identify.

4. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet provide an ideal experience for every visitor. Areas that may present limitations include:

  • Third-party maps, webcams, videos, booking tools, social media feeds and other embedded services;
  • Older articles, archived documents or files created before our current accessibility practices;
  • User-submitted listings, reviews, photos or other content that we do not fully control; and
  • Information provided by outside businesses, event organizers or destination partners.

We review these areas as resources permit and seek accessible alternatives when a barrier prevents access to important information.

5. Help and alternative access

If you have difficulty using any part of EverythingTahoe.com, please contact us. We will make a reasonable effort to provide the information or service through an accessible alternative, such as plain text, email or another practical format.

Accessibility is a shared outcome, not a task we place on visitors. You do not need to explain or prove a disability to report a website barrier or ask for help accessing information.

6. Report an accessibility issue

Your feedback helps us improve. When reporting an accessibility issue, please include whatever details you are comfortable sharing, such as:

  • The web address (URL) of the page;
  • A brief description of the problem and what you were trying to do;
  • Your browser and device; and
  • The assistive technology used, if relevant and if you choose to share it.

We will review the report, investigate the issue and make a reasonable effort to correct the barrier or provide another way to access the information.

7. Third-party content and services

Everything Tahoe links to and embeds content from independent businesses and services. We do not control the accessibility of every third-party website or tool. We encourage third-party providers to offer accessible experiences, and we welcome notice when an embedded feature creates a barrier on our site.

8. Ongoing improvements

We may update this statement as our website, tools and accessibility practices evolve. A statement by itself does not make a website accessible, so our priority is continuing to improve the pages and features people use.
