DeLeo Bros. Pizza — Lake Tahoe

DeLeo Bros was recommend to us by a few front desk staff members at our hotel so we figured that we would give it a try. While waiting on our slices, I observed that this place is mostly walking traffic as it is located across from the Heavenly Village. I chose to drive from our place as I was going to the store for supplies anyways.

You have to turn into the parking lot driveway between two buildings. Tight parking with limited spaces that appeared to be paid parking as each spot had a sign with a QR code to park. I did try the QR code but it did not work, I was getting our slices to go, so no big deal have have my son wait in the car. Parking information on my review is just information. Do not let that pursued you from visiting this piazza shop.

Right when you walk in, you’re hit the two large kiosks on the wall to start your orders. We just wanted slices so it was easy. They did have a sign above the kiosks that said order at the counter for any 18 inch pizza, not sure why it was not on the kiosks.

Back to our slices. I ordered the pepperoni with sausage slice and the Hawaiian slice. I was not sure that would fill us up, so I added two garlic knots which had four each. if you noticed I said “I was not sure that was enough!” Boy was I wrong! The slices are massive, basically cut from their 18 inch and if you ever had a 18 inch you know the slices are large. It covers the plate and hangs off the edge.

Pepperoni and sausage – perfect! both the pepperoni and sausage had great flavor. Excellent crust, especially at the end of the slice and the right amount of sauce. They were not cheap on the toppings.

Hawaiian – was just as large and enough pineapple and ham.

Garlic Knots – Okay, so I picked up two of the 4 piece knots, these knots are huge! Packed with great flavor, appeared to have a nice butter type of garlic on it and a stick of provolone cheese, yes a stick! These knots packed some serious flavor and the dipping sauced matched the awesome flavors.

Pricing was acutally perfect. Our slices were a little over $7.00 which is a great price for such a large slice! The knots were $4+ each. Filled us up for $24 bucks, so we were happy!

All-in-All we are placing De Leo Bros as the BEST pizza in South Lake Tahoe, and that’s no joke! Great job to the staff as well during our visit.
